Our Father Who Comforts

How much does God love us - Our Father Who Comforts

Our Lord does comfort us when we call out. Enjoy the video of How much God Loves You. Learn the Characteristics of God as a Father

How to find peace with God

If you have not been saved or doubt your salvation, please watch the video Receive Christ in your life and allow Him to wash you clean. Going to church does not get you saved. You must deliberately ask Jesus into your heart.

Step #1 You Must Believe in Jesus

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." Acts 16:31

Step #2 You Must Confess Your Sins

You must acknowledge that you are a sinner and you want Jesus to wash your sins away. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Step #3 You Must Repent (Turn away from your sins)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel. Mark 1:15

Step #4 You Must Confess Jesus Before Men

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

Step #5 You Must Accept the Gift of Salvation

For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: John 1:12

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation 2 Corinthians 6:2

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come in the Name of Jesus. I thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, into this world to die and for raising Him from the dead so that I can have everlasting life.

I recognize Jesus as my Savior and as the Lord of my life. I repent of my sins and forgive those who have wronged me. I believe in my heart and will confess my belief in Jesus openly. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life.

I receive this gift by faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.

"I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents that over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." -Jesus.

God's love for you scriptures:

John 3:16

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

1 John 4:9-12

By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has beheld God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.

John 13:34-35

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us

Romans 8:37-39

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Galatians 2:20

"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.

Psalm 37:28

For the LORD loves justice, And does not forsake His godly ones; They are preserved forever; But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.

Proverbs 8:17

"I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me.

Deuteronomy 7:9

"Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

1 John 3:1

See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason, the world does not know us because it did not know Him.

God Forgives Sin

Why We Have Problems Overcoming Sin

Galatians 5:16-17 "16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would."

Several reasons why we have problems overcoming sin

1. We are human and sin still indwells in our mortal bodies
2. The mind is still unrenewed in certain areas
3. Our flesh can be stronger than our spirit man - the lust of the world
4. Our emotions control our behavior
5. Satan tempts us just like he tempted Jesus

God knew none of us can ever be perfect within ourselves but we are perfect in Him when we are in the spirit and not in the flesh.

What does that mean. It means He knew how human we are, plus, the adversary is still tempting man until his end comes. Man became separated in the garden when they sinned against God.

God loved us so much that he made a way to bring us back in relationship in Him through Jesus Christ; and through Jesus Christ when we fall or mess up, we have access of forgiveness through Jesus. 1 John 1:9, Micah 7:19, Ps. 103:12, Ephesians 2:18:

For through him [Christ] we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

The Adversary (Satan) will make you believe your sin is too big for God to forgive. Remember in the garden after Adam and Eve fell? They hid behind the tree in fear. They had never felt fear before.

Through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have access to the father through the Son. We can be forgiven for any sin. What you have to do is not believe the lies of the enemy. After you confess your sin to Jesus, you have to receive that you are forgiven and then forgive yourself.

Many times, over the years of ministry, I've seen people be stuck in sin because they could not forgive themselves. They were listening to the lies of the enemy believing not the truth.

Then, after Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead, 50 days after, the Holy Spirit was sent to help us. The Holy Spirit is the part that communicates and lets us know through conviction not guilt or shame of our sin.

We need to be fast to ask God's forgiveness and receiving His forgiveness through His shed blood.

Think about it. If we could be perfect, would God needed to send His son to die on the cross?

So, our goal is to understand God's love and experience our new identity is to become like Christ (Roman 8:29. Also, this is not accomplished by our own activities or our own will. It takes the help of the Holy Spirit to walk in the spirit and it is God who works in us (Eph. 2:13). This is 100% God's part (1 Thes. 5:24).

You might ask that we are made perfect when there is confession of sin. Yes, we are made as new creatures in Him. The adversary is still on earth and still tempts us with sin. Many times we fall into sin and when we do, we can go to Jesus Christ and confess our sin at any time and be made whole and clean. It is like it never happened.

No condemnation in Christ

Romans 12:3-13

For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. 4 For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; 7 if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; 8 or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. 9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

That is why we need to learn how to discern good and evil. Condemnation does not come from God. Condemnation, guilt, shame only comes from the adversary.

Finding Your Identity In Christ

Discovering Your Identity in Christ

Self-Image or Your Identity in Christ

Beliefs → Thoughts → Feelings → Experiences
Question: Do you think your identity is your body weight, the size of your nose and feet, the color of your hair, etc.?

Let me ask you three questions on core beliefs?

LIE 1: ‘I’m not good enough’

LIE 3: ‘I am unlovable – loving myself is selfish’

Is your identity the essence of who you are - the spirit part?

Question: Do you think you will live with the same body all your life, or doesn't your body return to dust at the end of life.

Question: Does your spirit man live forever regardless of heaven or hell?

So, why do you get so caught up on the outer side of us instead of paying attention or really going to know the real essence of you?

Note: Our identity as Christians is in Christ. If it is not, it must be in something else—our nationality, family, friends, possessions, and job. We have nothing when all these are removed unless our identity is founded and fixed in Jesus.

Today, there needs to be a better understanding of our identity.  The source of these disastrous errors is that rooting ourselves in anything outside of Christ undermines our efforts at obedience or following him.

The problem: When you put your identity to get your needs met through others, you set yourself up in disastrous relationships - putting high expectations on others to meet demands in you sets you up for a lot of disappointment and hurt.

It also sets you up to go horizontally, getting needs met when all you have to do is go up and receive God's love.

Often a person goes into a performance-based life of performance, drivenness and perfection to meet a need.  Nothing is ever good enough, and that person develops a lot of self-hatred.

What shapes our identity:

Your past identity

1. Family background: A major part of our identity has been influenced by
the family that we were born into.
2. National background: At the Olympic games, winners often drape the
flag of their nation over their shoulders after they have won their event.
3. Ethnic background: One’s ethnic background can sometimes have a
huge impact on a person’s identity
4. Past life experiences: Your past experiences often have a major part in
determining your sense of personal identity. Including your sinful
activities.

Your identity is more than just these 4 areas of influence. The clothes you wear,
and your hairstyle can be used to develop your identity. Some people change
their identity by joining the army, or changing jobs, or moving to a new location.
We develop our identity by:

--what we value --what we think about
--who we spend time with

EPHESIANS 1:4-5 (MESSAGE)
Long, long ago, he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What the pleasure he took in planning this!)

Your identity is in Christ but how many of you try to find your identity in others - husband, children, job, etc.

(Ephesians 1:1)

Paul knew that he was the Apostle of Christ Jesus! He knew who he was! One of the basic questions of human existence is, "Who am I?" Who am I as a person? What am I? What is my role in life? Who am I in the grand scheme of things?

Self-evaluation

•Honestly describe yourself. How do you really define who you are?

•What aspects of yourself do you dislike?
•Evaluate your answers to the questions above. To what extent are you dependent on external attributes or roles—such as appearance, education, skills, family relationships, and occupation—to describe yourself?

Scriptures Who Am In Christ?

All bible verses (quotes) quoted in NIV

I am accepted...

John 1:12 I am God's child.

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

John 15:15 As a disciple, I am a friend of Jesus Christ.

I no longer call you servants because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Romans 5:1 I have been justified.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Corinthians 6:17 I am united with the Lord, and I am one with Him in spirit.

But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 I have been bought with a price, and I belong to God.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your body.

1 Corinthians 12:27 I am a member of Christ's body.

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

Ephesians 1:3-8 I have been chosen by God and adopted as His child.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the world's creation to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love, he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, by his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, by the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

Colossians 1:13-14 I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins.

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 2:9-10 I am complete in Christ.

For in Christ, all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.

Hebrews 4:14-16 I have direct access to the throne of grace through Jesus Christ.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

I am secure...

Romans 8:1 I am free from condemnation.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:28 I am assured that God works for my good in all circumstances.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:31-39 I am free from any condemnation brought against me and I cannot be separated from the love of God.

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died more than that, who was raised to life is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:"For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughter"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 I have been established, anointed and sealed by God.

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Colossians 3:1-4 I am hidden with Christ in God.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Philippians 1:6 I am confident that God will complete the good work He started in me.

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:20 I am a citizen of heaven.

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

2 Timothy 1:7 I have not been given a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

1 John 5:18 I am born of God and the evil one cannot touch me.

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him.

I am significant...

John 15:5 I am a branch of Jesus Christ, the true vine, and a channel of His life.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:16 I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

1 Corinthians 3:16 I am God's temple.

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 I am a minister of reconciliation for God.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Ephesians 2:6 I am seated with Jesus Christ in the heavenly realm.

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

Ephesians 2:10 I am God's workmanship.

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 3:12 I may approach God with freedom and confidence.

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Distortion of God’s Love Leads to Problems

Learn Dependence on God and The Benefits of Dependence on God

Our relationship with God is distorted whenever we don’t understand the Gospel in what God did for us through Jesus.

We should not look at salvation as a way to escape hell. It should be looked at as a relationship with God through Jesus. When we look at salvation as a free ticket to Heaven, the results are as follows:

• Continuing to live independently of God
• Neglecting the relationship He wants us to enjoy now and
• Looking to life’s circumstances and others for our happiness.

Living dependent on God

Isaiah 11:1-5

Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit. And the Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. And He will delight in fear of the LORD, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear; But with righteousness, He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips, He will slay the wicked. Also, righteousness will be the belt about His loins, And faithfulness the belt about His waist. (Isaiah 11:1-5, NASB).

As we depend upon the Spirit of God,
He effectively leads us closer to Himself
and makes our lives more fruitful.

Purpose

To make us more conscious of God's will and increasingly dependent upon the Holy Spirit in all we do.

We look to God in faith as totally dependent on him. We need to be self-sufficient. We trust him to provide our needs and guide us in life. Knowing that an all-powerful God is looking out for us, we have day-to-day security. He knows our needs better than we know, whether for daily bread or emergency assistance. We do not need to worry because Dad will take care of us.

We have confidence and courage. We can preach with boldness, without fear of persecution. Even though we may be killed, we do not fear, for we have a Dad no one can take away from us.

We can face our trials with optimism. Our Dad allows difficulties to discipline us so we will be better in the long run (Hebrews 12:5-11). We are confident that he works in our lives and will not disown us.

The key is how much we yield our lives to the wonderful Spirit of God. After all, we have been trained to live with our eyes, ears, and minds all our lives.

When a person is spirit–dependent, he will live life differently. He lives in communion with the Father, knowing his identity is in God and not man. How many perform for man to get your needs met but never does.
Second, living dependent is an incredible experience of feeling loved, His presence of love, knowing you are protected by hearing his voice, and Him sharing the most intimate things with you.

When there are distorted views of God’s love, this still drives you to be independent from God and in performance to man. When God loves and accepts you for who you are. See the video for depending on God verses and scroll down below.

When you believe what took place on the cross for you, it changes (transforms you) to a higher life of peace and joy experiencing God. You know you can trust Him in all circumstances and won’t give into the enemy's lies when things go wrong. God strengthens you during hard times.

Biblical Scriptures - God's Love for us

His love for us

"God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life." Romans 5:8-10

"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:37-39

"Whom have I in heaven but You?

And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.

My flesh and my heart fail;

But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalm 73:25-26

"In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." 1 John 4:9-11

"...humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brethren that are in the world.

"But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever." 1 Peter 5:6-11

His love in us

"Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:5-8

"...that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory..." Ephesians 3:17-21

"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

His love through us

"...that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head -- Christ...." Ephesians 4:14-15

"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:32

“I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

“...if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. ... But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

“...And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye?" Luke 6:27-41

"Convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things..." 2 Timothy 4:2-5

"Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and a good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work." 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

"To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." Revelation 1:5-6

His love forever!

"I have set the Lord always before me;

Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;

My flesh also will rest in hope. ...

You will show me the path of life;

In Your presence is fullness of joy;

At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Psalm 16:8-9, 11

"Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

1 John 3:1

See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

We Are Created to Be a Friend of God

WE are created to be a friend of god

We Are Created to Be A Friend of God

Be Transformed by Renewing Your Mind

The Good News

Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have a relationship with God the Father. Jesus was sent because the Father knew no man can be perfect, so he sent his son to forgive us of ALL our sins and live a meaningful life of joy and peace.

Unfortunately, many of us have been hurt, betrayed, and used by others and still live miserable and defeated lives without peace and joy.

Our belief system still controls how we live, think, feel, and choose. Today is the first step to change this corrupt belief system.

We Were Created to Be a Friend of God

Finding Peace in God

We are complete only when we are in a relationship with God:

  • The man was created to have an intimate love relationship with His Creator. Matt. 22:37; John 15:9, 13
  • The man was created in God's image to know and enjoy God. Gen. 1:27; Pslam 16:11
  • The man was designed to live dependent upon God. John 15:5
  • Man was created to contain God's very life and live by that life. John 10:10
But somehow, many of us believed the lie causing tragic separation in man's relationship with God.... but this did not stop God from loving us.  He will never stop loving you, saved or not saved.

The only difference between being saved and not saved is that if you are saved, you become a child of God, a royal priesthood, and loved with everlasting love.  Most of all, you get all the benefits and promises and escape eternal death and torment. Not only that, you receive the Love of God through what Jesus demonstrated on the Cross.

Satan is the one who keeps you separated from God by reminding you who hurt you or tries to get you to blame God for your misfortunes.

Remember the story of Adam and Eve!  What caused her to eat from the tree?  Was it because Satan made her believe that God was holding back on her?  Isn't Satan the accuser of us, God, and others?

His purpose is to get you to believe lies to keep you separated and not fulfill your destiny or the high purposes God has for you.

Their sin separated them from the love of God, but God never stopped loving them and made a way through his son.

We were all born spiritually dead and separated from God.  When we learn about Jesus and invite Him in our hearts, then we are no longer separated, but the lies we believe from Satan do separate us from the truth.

You see, God took it upon Himself to restore our relationship with Him through his son.  He planned to restore us to a right relationship with Him.  Eph. 2:4-5

Thank goodness, through Jesus Christ, he gave us life as a payment for the sins of the whole world through Jesus Christ. His perfect sacrifice satisfied the Father because the Father God of Heaven wants a relationship with you.

2 Corinthians 5:19 "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation."

Through Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, God has forgiven us when we invite Jesus into our hearts.  When we fall short, we have access to the son for our forgiveness of sin.

Col. 2:13-14 "13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

It is a free gift to all who will receive the Son through believing and trusting in Jesus.

John 3:17-18 "17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
Through this, we are deeply and unconditionally loved by God.

You might have grown up in a conditional loved home, but your Heavenly Father loves you unconditionally.  You do not have to work or perform for his love.  He loves you just for who you are.  Remember, He created you, and you are made in His image.  Rom. 5:8

God totally and completely accepts you.  This means he accepts you just for who you are.  That means he receives us to Himself with pleasure and responds to us kindly.

Father God Transforms Us by Renewing Our Minds

4 Biblical Steps for Renewing the Mind

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind by washing of the Word

Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed (changed) by the renewing of your mind

God has provided a way to free us from our old, corrupted belief system. God tells us to no longer walk or live by the same futile thinking. He has given us His Word so we can change our beliefs and experience healing and change in our lives. How do we do this:

be transformed by the renewing of your mind

4 biblical Steps to transform your mind

1. Find scriptures in what the Lord has to say about you. His love for you, his thoughts over you, etc.

2. Meditate on God's Word as truth.

3. When you have a thought opposite of God's belief over you, then cast down the vain imagination according to 2 Corinthians 10:5.

4. Take scriptures and quote God's Word and truth over the lie from the enemy.

That means recognizing the lies we believe, renouncing and rejecting them, replacing them with God's truth, and redirecting our thoughts to reflect our new beliefs.

This is how you put out the fiery darts from the enemy's lies. This is how change occurs as we allow God to renew our minds (beliefs).

Remember the Lord loves you so much, and you are the apple of his eye - Psalm 17:8. You are his creation - Romans 1:20. He is the king of the universe, so you are a royal priesthood - 1 Pet. 2:9. Also, he does not make junk.

overcoming negative thoughts

We must reject those false beliefs (lies from the enemy) before the truth can change our lives. The more you stand on God's word, the more His word will become truth. But it takes action from you to apply God's word to put out those lies called fiery darts - Ephesians 6:10-16.

The root problem is our corrupted belief system; we don't have to continue believing these lies.

The process of renewing our minds is not a matter of deep introspection, nor a matter of just replacing our negative thoughts (projected from Satan's kingdom) with positive ones. Renewing the mind involves relating to God and depending on Him to reveal the lies and teach us what is true.

Renewal is possible only through the work of the Holy Spirit. Removing the enemy's lies and renewing the mind with the Word of God should bridge your relationship with him.

John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things...

John 16:13 "But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth.

When we renew our minds, the result is peace because God's truth always brings peace. But it also brings healing and deliverance to our minds, wills, and emotions. When our minds, wills, and emotions are healed, our behavior changes as well. Not only that, but how we think about God, others, and ourselves is transformed.

Allowing the truth of God's Word to change our belief system does not alter our past, but it will transform our lives and give us hope and wisdom for the future.

Many times, self-pity is the super glue that holds you in bondage to your past and makes you unable to move forward in the high callings of God and purposes.  God's Word, as truth, can free us to not live in self-pity.

A self-pity is a form of unforgiveness towards others. It is not tearing up the debt of what others did to you.  This is an excellent time to ask the Lord to search your heart for anyone you have not forgiven.  You see, unforgiveness brings separation between you, others, and God.

Remember, God is always present, full of compassion and grace, and willing to heal our broken hearts and lives from the past. He desires more than we do to fill our lives with His hope, joy, and peace. Past issues of unforgiveness and false lies rob you of the quality of life that Jesus promises.

Questions:

1.  What behaviors or habits in your life are contributing to your problem?
2.  How is your behavior affecting your relationships with others?
3.  What prevailing thoughts are running through your mind (remember, not all our thoughts are our own) when you think about your unique problem?
4.  Name one significant negative life experience that has shaped your beliefs.

5. List the beliefs formed from that life experience:

a.  Who am I? ___________________________________
b.  Whom can I trust? ________________________________
c. What is good or bad? ________________________________
d. What am I worth? ______________________________
e. What is my purpose in life? _______________________________

6. How have these beliefs been reinforced over the years?
7.  How are these beliefs still manifested in your thoughts, emotions, behaviors and relationships?

"I have set the Lord always before me;

Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;

My flesh also will rest in hope. ...

You will show me the path of life;

In Your presence is fullness of joy;

At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Psalm 16:8-9, 11

A Letter from God

father love letter video

A letter from God

I spoke them into being when I created the heavens and all the earth. When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils. But you, woman, I fashioned-- after I breathed
life into man because your nostrils were too delicate. I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and flawlessly fashion you.

Man was put to sleep so he could not interfere with my creativity. From one bone, I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects man’s life. I chose the rib, which protects his heart and lungs, and
supports him, as you are meant to do.

only god could love you more

Around this bone, I shaped you. I molded you. I created you perfectly and beautifully. Your characteristics are as the rib – strong, yet delicate and fragile. You proved protection for the most delicate organ in man…..his heart. His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life.

The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart. Support man as the rib cage supports the body. You were not taken from his feet, to be under him; nor were you
taken from his head, to be above him. You were taken from his side to stand beside him and to be held close to his side.

You are My perfect angel. You are My little girl. You have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence and My eyes fill when I see the virtue in your heart. Your eyes don’t change them. Your lips ---how lovely when they part in prayer. Your nose, so perfect in form, your hands, so ge ntle in
touch. I’ve caressed your face in your deepest sleep; I’ve held your heart close to Mine.

Of all the lives and breaths, you are the most like Me. Adam walked with Me in the cool of the day, yet he was lonely. He could not see Me or touch Me. He could only feel Me. So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with Me, I fashioned in you. My holiness, My strength, My
purity, My love, My protection and support. You are special because you are an extension of me.

Man represents My image, and Woman represents My emotions. Together, you represent the totality of God. So, Man, treat Woman well. Love her; respect her, for she is fragile. In hurting her, you hurt Me.
What you do to her, you do to Me. In crushing her, you damage your own heart, the heart of your Father. Women support Men. In humility, show him that you are the rib that protects his inner self

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to propitiate our sins.

"Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

1 John 3:1

See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

Fathers Happy Thoughts

The Fathers Love Letter - The Thoughts of God Towards You

How our lord has good thoughts about us. The thought of God towards you.

how to find peace with god

If you have not been saved or doubt your salvation, then please watch video and receive Christ in your life and allow Him to wash you clean.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

Step #5 You Must Accept the Gift of Salvation

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: John 1:12

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation 2 Corinthians 6:2

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come in Jesus's name. I thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, into this world to die and for raising Him from the dead so that I can have everlasting life.

I recognize Jesus as my Savior and as the Lord of my life. I repent of my sins and I forgive those who have wronged me. I believe in my heart and will confess my belief in Jesus openly. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life.

I receive this gift by faith, In Jesus' name, Amen

"I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents that over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." -Jesus
